Jobelle Luna, an alumna of The Fisher Valley College, successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) - Elementary Level administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on September 25, 2011.
Melinda Bassig, who took up Certifi cate in Teaching program at TFVC, also passed the said examination.
Other five (5) successful examinees who are currently teaching in TFVC are Aldrin Cortez, Gladys Dantes, Lea Rowena Cabugon, Jemiro Ann Simbulan, and Randolf Tuazon.
PRC announced that 10,243 out of 45,171 examinees passed the licensure exam conducted in 18 testing centers all over the Philippines, or an equivalent of 22.68% passing rate.
Members of the Board of Professional Teachers who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Faith M. Bachiller, Chairman; Dr. Reynaldo T. Peņa and Dr. Jesus L. Nieves, Members.
=Upgraded computer laboratory would encourage our students, especially those who are enrolled in computer and information technology courses, to study more and hone their computer skills, said Engr. Reagan Ricafort, De-partment Head of the Department of Computer Studies, when asked about the new acquisition of seven (7) com-puter sets for the laboratory on March 20, 2012.
Currently, there are 40 computers in Main and C5 Annex Campuses. The additional units will make the total number of computer sets to 47 com-puters.
The TFVC management, through its President and Chairman of the Board, Atty. Ronald R. Yap allotted an amount for the purchase of new computer sets.
Jazzer Mirasol, a DCS student and Kristel Issa Sta.Barbara, an HRM student, were successfully won the titles Mr. & Ms. Campus Figure 2012, respectively. The event was betided last January 27, 2012.
On the said event, minor awards for the contestants were also chosen: Best in Evening Wear, Best in Sports Wear, Mr. & Ms. Photogenic, Best in Casual Wear, Mr. & Ms. Congeniality and Best in Talent.
Kristel Issa Sta. Barbara, as the Ms. Campus Figure 2012, received the awards for Best in Sports Wear, Ms. Congeniality, and Best in Evening Wear. She looked elegant and charming as she showed her evening gown to the audience. 1st Runner-up Merry Ann Mundo, a Business Administration stu-dent, was awarded as the Best in Cas-ual Wear and got the Eloquence Award. She answered the query extem-poraneously with pride and humility. 2nd Runner-up Emee Umali, a DCS stu- dent, received the award for Ms. Pho-togenic. The title Mr. Photogenic was given to Jazzer Mirasol. Billy Joseph Reyes from DOHM received the awards for Best in Sports Wear and Best in Casual Wear.
The audience witnessed the different talents showcased by the contingents: dancing, singing, and playing musical instruments were shown during the talent night. Emee Umali won as the Best in Talent because of her excel-lence in dancing.
The said event bestowed a wonderful experience to the students to develop their skills and talents, to enhance their strengths and weaknesses and most specially, their self-esteem. Aside from this, it has been proven that TFVCians are really talented.
The event was hosted by Lou Ismael Montenegro and Myra Joy Bayot. Marlon Raquel served as the anchor-man.
