TFVC Successfully Conducted Its 2nd NSTP

Graduation and Awarding Ceremony

The 2nd National Service Training Program (NSTP) Graduation and Awarding Ceremony was successfully conducted on March 23, 2012 at the TFVC Quadrangle of The Fisher Valley College Main Campus. Organized by NSTP Advisers, namely, Profs. Reagan Ricafort, Ofelia Buenafe, Marve Lakampuenga, Albert dela Cruz, and Marlon Raquel, the simple graduation rite was attended by department heads, college faculty mem-bers, and NSTP students from all courses both in Main and C5 Annex campuses.

Mrs. Kate L. Osorio, Acting College Director and College Registrar, gave an inspirational message to all NSTP graduates. She emphasized the role of NSTP students in nation-building. Ms. Juliet Maluyo, an HRM student from C5 who represented all NSTP graduates, gave her speech about leadership.

Certificates of Completion were distributed during the program. Meanwhile, eight students were Leadership Awardees who received Certificates of Recognition and Gold Medals. The Leadership Awardees were Juliet Maluyo, Arman Lacanlale, Laila Remot, John Donald Mata, Riominafe Parazo, Ma. Concepcion Medina, and Marck Anthony Avila.


PSE and UM Donated Books Worth P10, 000.00 to TFVC

On August 10, 2011, the marketing director of Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), Mr. Jay Penaflor and the Dean of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy of the University of Manila, Dr. Nelson S. Abelida, visited The Fisher Valley College. They donated books worth P10, 000.00 for library use.

Aside from the donation, the team also gave a free seminar on stock exchange to Business Administration and Accoun-tancy students. Mr. Penaflor stressed that business tycoons in the country like Manny Pangilinan, Ramon Ang, Lucio Tan, Henry Sy, among others play significant roles in the PSE which affect our economy. He told his audience that every person who engages in a business is responsible for any phe-nomenon that is happening in the business sector.


Silid-Aklatan, Pinalaki at Pinaganda

Para lalong mas mapataas ang antas ng pasilidad ng The Fisher Valley College, pinalaki at pinaganda ang silid-aklatan sa pag-uumpisa ng klase nitong taong 2012-2013.

Maraming mag-aaral ang natuwa sa pagbabagong nang- yari sa silid-aklatan na naging maaliwalas at kaaya-aya na animoy nang-aakit sa lahat na dayuhin ang nasabing aklatan. Isa itong magandang hakbang para himukin ang lahat na magtungo dito at para din maitaas ang kanilang kaalaman.

Naging mas komportable din ito para sa mga gumagamit ng silid-aklatan dahil dinagdagan ang aircon at mula doon ay matatanaw ang Laguna Lake at Baybreeze Executive Village. Patunay lamang nito na kung pasilidad lang din ang pag-uusapan, hindi magpapahuli ang ating paaralan.


First Year College Students Attended Retreat in Rizal Re-Creation Center, Laguna

Over a hundred first year college students from Main and C5 campuses attended the College Retreat held on October 5-7, 2011 at Rizal Re-Creation Center in Laguna. Together with Ptrs. Joseph Toledo, Glen Maypa, and Larry Tomines, college faculty members Albert dela Cruz, Marlon Raquel, Reagan Ricafort, and Ofelia Buenafe spearheaded the said event. A retreat is a big gift and grace from God because it is an opportunity to break away from all the things the students usually do at home, school, and work.
